Dr Maria Naymark MRCGP DRCOG

Family Doctor in Central and West London

About me

I am a private family doctor in Chiswick with over 15 years of experience in the NHS. I have worked not only in general practice but also for many years in acute medicine in various London hospitals, looking after very sick people needing intensive inpatient treatment.

I believe in continuity of care: it helps to know my patients well and treat them holistically, considering both the illness, life context and the meaning they attribute to their condition.

Conditions treated

General GP work

I see children and adults. People consult me about a wide range of concerns including in particular chest infections, sore throat (tonsillitis), asthma, COPD, indigestion, heartburn, bloating, haemorrhoids (piles), IBS symptoms, bowel problems, UTIs, thyroid problems, palpitations, shortness of breath, back pain, irregular or heavy periods, headaches, tiredness, and depression.

I am an experienced doctor and can help you with many problems; if I need to refer you to a specialist, I am have an excellent network of London Consultants to call on. I also have positive relationships with many private hospitals.

Women’s health

Menopause is a significant part of my work. I hold a certificate in Management of the Menopause from the British Menopause Society and also a DRCOG (Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists). I believe in a holistic approach to helping women go through the change, looking into what realistic lifestyle adjustments can be achieved. I collaborate with experienced physiotherapists who help patients to embark on an exercise routine that will reduce the risk of osteoporosis and heart disease in the years to come.
